Open consultation on reforming local government exit pay
These changes affect the automatic entitlement to unreduced pension benefits for members over age 55 who leave the scheme because of redundancy/efficiency.
While the changes are being finalised, we are currently unable to provide any estimates for 'pension strain cost' on redundancy or efficiency leavers post 31 December 2020, please email pensions@warwickshire.gov.uk with any queries.
Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) have published a consultation on restricting exit payments in local government in England and Wales. More information on the proposed reforms.
The consultation closes on 9 November 2020.
